I'd say go for it. 18 years old and only 1100 miles on it? Sounds unbelievabel.
I don't know the prices in the States for old bikes, but I wouldn't pay too much.
Change the tires, no matter how good they look. Change the oil, spark plug, braking fluid,
air filter and get a neww battery. I'd also take off the carburator, clean it
thoroughly as well as all gas lines. This way you shouldn't have any problems starting
the bike.
